How this Program Works

As demonstrated by the two-part model illustrated below, Holistic Workforce Planning is usually a big piece of work, not to be undertaken lightly!


It can however, be broken down into bite-sized chunks or implemented via a pilot program first, to be progressively expanded thereafter. Generally speaking, a timeframe of between six and 12 months is a useful guide, dependent upon the size of your organisation.


The starting point lies in establishing your governance structure, which I advocate works at three levels: -


  • Executive team
  • Steering committees x 2
  • Operating committees by designated divisions & departments 


Given that the overall program relies on the availability of quality business, workforce, economic and labour market data, early emphasis and effort in this area will pay dividends as the program rolls out.
